Motorworks Brewing announces head brewer

Motorworks Brewing Company of Bradenton has announced their new head brewer: Bob Haa, Jr.

Bob Haa comes to Motorworks after a stint working with Micro Man Dsitributing. Bob also was the brewer at the Saint Sebastian Brewery in Spring Hill, Florida, as well as national research and development brewer for the Hops chain of brewpubs. Bob has over 15 years of brewing experience and his beers have won 23 medals in regional, national, and international competitions.

Bob currently is brewing on a 3.5 barrel pilot system at Motorworks tweaking recipes until the full-scale commercial brewing system is in place. Once construction is finished, Haa will have a 30 barrel brewing system and 24,000 square feet of production area to work in. Motorworks will also feature a 3,500 square-foot tap room and 12,000 square foot beer garden slated for opening around Thanksgiving time 2013.
