New Miami brewery coming from Alchemy & Science

Press Release:

(Miami, FL) – Alchemy and Science is set to launch a project in the Wynwood Arts District of Miami. Construction of the new Concrete Beach Brewery began in early October, with plans to open for business in early 2014.

The brewery will produce a number of different styles of craft beer on draft for local distribution and will follow up 90-120 days later with bottled beer.

The brewery will be housed in an old warehouse building in the heart of the Arts District. Construction is scheduled to be complete by the end of December. Concrete Beach not only plans to brew at its Wynwood location, but it will also house a meeting hall to serve and sample its beers, provide brewery tours, and become an active supporter of the Wynwood Arts District by hosting cultural arts events.

“Miami is a world class city and deserves to have world class beers. We hope to add to the growing enthusiasm for great local craft beers with the opening of Concrete Beach Brewery,” said Alan Newman, president of Alchemy and Science. “We’re excited to join the growing craft beer movement in Miami, and think it’s the perfect place for Alchemy and Science to continue to fulfill to its mission of expanding the craft beer community. I’ve visited Miami regularly throughout my life and have always been in love with the city. When we started seeking opportunities for A&S, we were instantly drawn to Wynwood’s revitalization, and it all came together.”

The Concrete Beach Brewery is the fifth craft beer project for Alchemy and Science, whose mission is to expand the craft beer community. Other projects include Angel City Brewery, Coney Island Brewing Company, Traveler Beer Company and The Just Beer Project.
