Cycle Brewing taps Hashtag YOLO

Cycle Brewing has managed to give great news, good news, and bad news in the same posting.

The great news is that they have brewed and tapped a delicious sounding Baltic Porter, called Hashtag YOLO. The beer finished at 9% ABV and took 62 days to finish fermenting, so it may never be brewed again.

The good news is that YOLO will go away, but the bad news is that in this case the twitter hashtag will outlive the beer that shares its name. Why call the beer YOLO? According to Cycle, “Why YOLO? 62 days in a tank is 3 times longer than any other beer we make and thus it might only be made once! Full credit for this recipe and execution goes to Eric, pictured majestically as guest bartender yesterday, so stop in at Cycle or down at Peg’s this weekend and give him a high five!”

Cycle Brewing is located at 534 Central Avenue in Saint Petersburg.
