Orlando Brewing to release Hard Caliber Imperial Stout

Orlando Brewing will introduce a new organic Imperial Stout to their taproom’s lineup of local beers with Art of Craft, a beer and art release event.

The first keg of Hard Caliber, the Central Florida brewery’s new 9% ABV Imperial Stout, will be tapped at 1pm. This rich and robust beer was brewed with house toasted oats, roasted barley and magnum hops. Hard Caliber is the second in the company’s Senator Series, a line brewed by Orlando Brewing’s Travis Smith. Travis describes the new stout as “roasty and warm like Florida summer, brewed to keep you cozy in the winter.”
1pm will also mark the unveiling of the taproom’s newest art show, a line up showcasing the work of Orlando artist Steven Arterbury. Steven has created local art for nearly 20 years and will be showcasing fourteen handcrafted pieces.

From 3pm-5pm the brewery will host a meet and greet, giving beer drinkers and art lovers an opportunity to meet the artist and the brewer. During the meet and greet all Orlando Brewing beers will be Happy Hour priced. At 5pm both artisans will give a short talk about their craft. Food from Backhaus, a local German artisan bakery, will be available for purchase between 3pm-6:30pm. Orlando Brewing will hold a free tour at 7pm followed by the original music of local artists Apollo Radio, and Grant Lives in Every Streetlight from 9pm to 12am. The art show will hang for three months, but the brewery can make no promises that Hard Caliber Imperial Stout will last as long.
