Marker 48 Brewing cans first beer

Press ReleaseMarker 48 Brewing is taking the next step to put its delicious beer into the hands of  fans and craft beer lovers on Florida’s Nature Coast by releasing its first canned brew.

Working in conjunction with IronHeart Canning Co., the Weeki Wachee brewery’s first cans will be its Centralia Logger, a light American lager (4.2% alcohol by volume. 28 IBU).

“It’s taken three years to get to this point,” said Marker 48 co-founder Tina Ryman in announcing Marker 48 cans during a Facebook Live video on Friday, March 15.

The description on the can reads: “This light American lager brings all the things you love in a lager right to your mouth. Crisp, clean, and delicious. It pairs perfectly with hiking, boating, or kicking back by the pool.”

Cans will be available for purchase in the taproom at 12147 Cortez Blvd. throughout the brewery’s St. Patrick’s Day weekend celebrations, while supplies last. The cost is $14 per four-pack of 16-oz. cans.

Marker 48 Brewing is a 7-barrel craft brewery with a 32-tap tasting room and an eight-tap beer garden bar in Weeki Wachee, Florida, founded by longtime Hernando County residents Maurice and Tina Ryman.
