As Tampa and the greater craft beer community begin to brace for Tampa Bay Beer Week and the events, festivals, bottle releases, and more, there appears to be a plethora of great beer lined up for the entire week. Knowing that many of these events will be outdoors and that many great beers will be available, here are a few tips for surviving outdoor events in the aptly named Sunshine State.

Brews by the Bay is back – and it’s being turned up a notch!

For years, The Florida Aquarium has hosted a successful beer, food and music festival called Brews by the Bay. After a two-year hiatus, the Aquarium is bringing back the event with a twist – a musical twist, that is. Newly named Rhythm and Brews by the Bay, the hit event will now incorporate a concert headlined by ‘90s alternative rock band, the Gin Blossoms, and opened with an acoustic set by Ken Block and Drew Copeland of the band Sister Hazel.
