Many hands have touched the recipe of the most recent collaboration beer coming to Brewers’ Tasting Room. The next beer to be released from this community brewery will be a Starfruit Saison that is a collaboration between J. Wakefield Brewing, Brewers’ Tasting Room, Justin Grant, and New Belgium Brewery.
While nothing is certain in this life, it is a pretty safe bet that brewing beer in Florida’s endless summer can cause thirst. All the heat of boiling and mashing combined with a lack of air conditioning makes sweat drip like the mighty Mississippi. The kind folks from Green Bench Brewing of Saint Petersburg and Coppertail Brewing of Tampa have announced that they are collaborating on a beer at Green Bench. No details yet, but they have posted a photo of the brewers enjoying ice cold Capri Suns as they brew.
One of Tampa’s newest breweries has been renovating their facility near Ybor City’s IKEA in anticipation of becoming one of Tampa’s hottest new production breweries. Coppertail’s brewer, Casey Hughes, recently headed North to collaborate with Oxbow Brewing Company of Newcastle, Maine on a grisette hopped with experimental Azacca hops, and they called it Grizacca.
A few weeks ago Cigar City Brewing was visited by friends from San Diego’s Coronado Brewing Company. The two breweries put their heads together and decided to collaborate on a California Common-esque beer. That beer is now bottled and ready to be enjoyed.
Jacksonville Beach- Jacksonville’s beach hangout brewery and Ormond Beach’s new pizza and brewery just got together and brewed up a little collaboration beer called “Offshore Wheat IPA.”
