The announcement a few days ago that Cigar City Cider and Mead will be collaborating with Cigar City’s Brewpub brought questions about what liquid offspring will emerge from the minds of these two savants.

More information was posted recently about this collaboration: namely that the recipe will include blending with the brewpub’s wheat beer, Fountain of Youth. The post on July 10th simply stated the intention to blend “forbidden fruit with some apple making Fountain of Sin.” Tim Ogden of the Cigar City Brewpub added that the beer will be, ” A special batch of Fountain of Youth blended with a special batch of hard cider. Once you taste it you will have knowledge…that you want more.”
