Tallahassee- Proof Brewing Company began brewing in July of 2012, and has worked to become a premiere craft brewery in Florida’s capitol city. The brewing system downstairs of their Tallahassee bar and tasting room has cranked out beer for Tallahassee on a three-barrel system since their opening.

Soon, that will all change. Proof Brewing announced major expansion today:

We are proud to announce that Proof Brewing Company is expanding and will be opening a distributing brewery in the Railroad Square Art Park this fall. The 10,000 square foot facility will house a state of the art 20 barrel brew house and 10,000 barrels of fermentation capacity a year.

Our new brewery will feature an expansive tasting room, patio with outside green space for events and live music along with plenty of parking. We look forward to distributing our beer locally and beyond for enjoyment by all. We at PBC hope to bring more recognition to both Tallahassee and the state of Florida through craft beer and look forward to opening our doors!

Proof also announced that they would be renovating the existing space at 1717 Tennessee Street in Tallahassee:

We’re giving our upstairs bar a face lift and a few other cosmetic procedures to bring you an ever cooler vibe! We’ll remain open downstairs with regular business hours but our upstairs bar will be closed this Saturday – Tuesday. In addition to our upstairs renovations, we’ll be adding more fermentation capacity to our existing brewery downstairs. Our downstairs brewing facility will become our pilot and test batch system so expect a greatly expanded selection of PBC brews!
