Funky Buddha Brewery is coming to Tampa

Press Release:

#GetFunky, Tampa! Funky Buddha is proud to announce that its creative and award-winning beers will make their way to the west coast of Florida beginning on March 25.

“The Greater Tampa Bay area is a hugely developed craft beer market and is hungry for quality beer,” says Funky Buddha co-owner and General Manager KC Sentz. “We’ve been hearing the calls to come to the area since we’ve opened, and we’re happy to say that we can finally deliver on that.”

Funky Buddha’s launch will include draught beer sales at select accounts in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Manatee, Sarasota, and Charlotte counties via Brown Distributing, Funky Buddha’s statewide distribution partner. The initial portfolio will include the brewery’s best-selling brands Floridian Hefeweizen and Hop Gun IPA, as well as Crusher Session IPA and OP Porter. Also arriving will be Funky Buddha’s seasonal series beginning with its spring seasonal More Moro Blood Orange IPA. Wide distribution, including six-pack bottles, will arrive in the months following.

Leading up to the launch, fans will get a chance to taste some of Funky Buddha’s rarer beers at a prelaunch kickoff party on Wednesday, March 11 at Cigar City Cider & Mead in Ybor City. The event – part of Tampa Bay Beer Week – will feature 14 beers including the sought after Last Snow, Key Lime Berlinerweiss, and RateBeer’s #1 Porter in the world, Maple Bacon Coffee Porter. Funky Buddha will also feature a selection of limited beers at the Florida Brewer’s Guild Festival at Cotanchobee Fort Brook Park on Saturday, March 7, and at Cigar City Brewing’s celebrated Hunahpu’s Day on March 14.

The Launch schedule includes tap enlightenments, meet the brewer events, and beer pairings throughout Tampa and the surrounding area. For a complete list of times and activities, visit http://tampa.funkybuddhabrewery.com.
