The folks at JDub’s Brewing have teamed up with Boar’s Head Meats to host the first ever “Soon to be relatively famous hopefully annual hot dog eating contest” on May 23, 2015 at 3pm. There will be a men and women’s category. Each will be given 10 minutes to eat as many hot dogs as possible. The winner of each will receive $200 cash as well as a $50 bar tab. Contestants can sign up in the taproom or over the phone during taproom operating hours. Morgan’s canteen food truck and a DJ will be on-site throughout the day. Said JDub’s taproom manager Brian “BK” Klimek, “It’s about being fun and not taking life too seriously! Because that’s what we like to do!” BK, AKA “Tugboat”, will serve as the emcee for the event.
