Tampa Bay Brewing Company and Cigar City Brewing are quickly becoming some of the elder statesmen when it comes to Florida’s craft beer scene. The two owners, Dave Doble and Joey Redner also happen to share similar birthdays and in close proximity to TBBC (and former CCB) brewer Tim Ogden. Recently, as a way to commemorate their respective progress, the two owners, who also happen to be brewers, banded together to commemorate their mutual marches into the future.
From Tampa Bay Brewing Company’s newsletter:
What is Old Man Olde Ale?
Old Man Olde Ale [was] brewed to celebrate the birth of David, Joey & Tim, Old Man Olde Ale is deep amber colored, brewed with blackstrap molasses, pale chocolate malt and has a smooth, subtle, chocolatey malt character beneath layers of caramel. This Olde Ale finishes with a balanced but sharp & lingering hop character. It’s just a reminder that we’re getting older and just a little bitter.
Tampa Bay Brewing Company is located in Centro Ybor Plaza in the Ybor City area of Tampa and in Westchase at 13937 Monroe Business Park.
