Barrel of Monks Brewing of Boca Raton has made a reputation as one of the top craft breweries in the Sunshine State when it comes to Belgian-inspired ales.  Now the breweries announces that they will have both an annual favorite and a limited release beer coming to bottles in the month of February.

February – a month that is cold and miserable in a lot of places in the world, but not in South Florida! The weather is beautiful at this time of year, and we are hoping to give you reasons to enjoy it more!

First off this month, we are proud to announce the upcoming release of our beer celebrating that day when cupid flies around and love is in the air: Be Mine!

Be Mine is, of course, our Quadraphonic quadrupel brewed with cherries and cocoa nibs. Have you ever had a chocolate covered cherry? Well, this is decadence in a glass. The cherries and chocolate blend with the dark fruit and raisin flavors of the quad to make a hedonistic delight for the senses.

Be Mine will be available in the Barrel of Monks Tasting Room on February 6th and throughout the brewery’s distribution footprint.

Also coming to bottles in February will be The Incredible Wizard! Wheatwine – an amped up version of the Barrel of Monks’s perennial favorite The Wizard Belgian White.

As you may have discovered, we are getting more into hops here at Barrel of Monks. While we are not fans of harsh bitter beers, we have learned that some of the newer varieties of fruity, citrusy hops go very well with Belgian-style ales! Incredible wizard is our amped up version of The Wizard, with 3 times the grain and spices and dry hopped with large quantities of Mosaic, Cashmere, Idaho 7, and Citra hops. This beer is a “wheatwine” – sort of like a barleywine made with mostly wheat, a big rich flavored ale balanced by the large hop profile. It was a big hit last year, and we think it is even better this year! This beer goes on sale on the 27th, available for pre-sale on the 25th.
