Jacksonville’s Intuition Ale Works is adding a beer with benefits to their taproom’s core lineup of beers. This particular beer is aimed at raising funds to benefit the Jacksonville community where the brewery lives and does business.

Launched Tuesday, June 8th, 2021, Outeast Lager will be a taproom exclusive beer, and for every pint sold, the brewery will donate $1 to the Historic Eastside Community Development Corporation, according to a recent article from local affiliate WJCT.

“It was kind of a no-brainer to do something in our neighborhood, especially for a historic neighborhood that is trying to improve,” said Intuition owner and founder Ben Davis, adding that residents, business owners and community leaders are passionate about the neighborhood.

“We look at this fundraiser, this beer to be forever basically. Something that we’re always going to have on tap and is always going to raise funds,” Davis said.

The beer is named for the neighborhood’s nickname, according to those who reside there.

As an additional benefit, Intuition is proud to announce that “Thanks to 1st DownTown Jax, the first $1,000 raised from the release of our Outeast lager will be matched – doubling the impact and support for the Historic Eastside Community Development Corp!”

Intuition’s Outeast Lager is available on tap at Intuition Ale Works taproom on 929 East Bay Street in Jacksonville. In time, Outeast Lager will also be available in crowlers to go from the brewery.
