On Tuesday, February 11th, “The Growler Bill” (HB 283 and SB 406) successfully sailed through the subcommittee that killed it during the last legislative session.
After Tuesday’s hearing, the chair of the House Subcommittee on Business and Professional Regulations tweeted:

The bill must pass both the state house and senate and be signed by the governor in order to become effective. The effective date on the bill (the date its provisions would take effect) is July 1st, 2014. We will be monitoring this bill closely.
