Garagiste Meadery and mazer Chad Wiltz have sights set on Apollo Beach as the home for a meadery. But, first things first, the meadery needs some startup capital and some love to get going. Wiltz is looking to IndieGoGo for a campaign to fund the meadery’s development.
What is mead? Well, as Chad Wiltz says:

Mead, as an adult beverage is growing at a rate to rival craft beer, but Florida only has a handful of businesses that make their living solely through honey wines. While Apollo Beach may seem an unlikely home for a meadery, some of the best meaderies in the country come from outside of major cities. Many folks cannot find Ferndale, Michigan or Prescott, Arizona on a map, but some of the best mead in the United States comes from these areas.
