3 Daughters Brewing launches Tropical Hefe German Wheat Ale in brewery’s tasting room and expanding soon into distribution.
As summer sets in, 3 Daughters Brewing in St. Petersburg announced the release of its new brew, the “Tropical Hefe,” a fruity and hazy German wheat crafted for drinking by the water during Florida’s sunniest months. Coming soon to retailers and restaurants, the Tropical Hefe makes its official debut in the 3 Daughters Brewing Tasting Room on Tuesday, April 13th.
A celebration of ease and refreshment, the light-bodied hefeweizen adds a strong tropical splash to the classic German wheat ale, letting the fruity flavors of Florida swim in the slightly sweet and easy-drinking body of a traditional Bavarian brew.“One of the most enjoyable parts of craft brewing is the opportunity to mix flavors from all regions and styles to create something truly unique,” said Brian Horne, VP of Sales at 3 Daughters Brewing. “We believe our Tropical Hefe is one of the tastiest versions of that blending of styles, highlighting the flavors of our home state while remaining true to the traditional German foundation.”
To celebrate the debut of this limited release, a launch party will be held at 3 Daughters Brewing in its St. Petersburg Tasting Room on Tuesday, April 13th from 6-9 p.m. The brewery will be doing free tastings for all guests 21 and older, in addition to live music, games, and giveaways. The event will be held in the open-air warehouse and outdoor seating areas, and social distancing and face mask guidelines will be enforced.
3 Daughters describes the beer as “Bavarian summers meet tropical haze in our fruit-forward hefeweizen. With notes of papaya, pineapple and banana, clove, mango, and toasted coconut, every sip of this juicy wheat ale sends you straight to the tropics.”
The Tropical Hefe will be available on draft and in six-packs at participating retailers and restaurants beginning this month.
