Escape Brewing Expands and Creates “The Collective at Escape” with New Location, More Beer, and Culinary Icons

Escape Brewing, a fixture in Florida’s craft beer scene for over a decade, is moving to a new location and transforming into The Collective at Escape, a dynamic hub for beer enthusiasts and food lovers. The Collective at Escape’s grand opening celebration is scheduled for mid-November. The Trinity community is invited to preview Escape Brewing’s new taproom starting October 25, 2024, during their soft opening.
The sign in front of The Collective at EscapeEscape Brewing’s new location will more than double its brewing capacity, increasing production from about 2,000 to 4,500 barrels per year. With the taproom expanding from 14 taps to 20, beer lovers will be able to enjoy a wider variety of seasonal and specialty beers, along with celebrated favorites like the award-winning The Other West Coast IPA and The Collective, a light American lager crafted to mark the brewery’s anticipated expansion.

“We’re excited to keep pushing boundaries, creating new brands, and offering more variety while still serving our fan-favorite beers like The Other West Coast IPA, Goofy Footed Wheat Ale, and Five Flags Pilsner,” says Escape Brewing co-founder John McGregor. “This expansion allows our brewers to get more creative and have more fun in the brewing process.”

Escape Brewing’s commitment to quality has earned top accolades, including a gold medal at the World Beer Cup for Poolside Chill Sour and a silver at the Great American Beer Fest for Goofy Footed Wheat Ale. Three additional beers have earned Gold Medal at the Best Florida Beer Competition, including The Other West Coast IPA, Scandalous Double IPA, and You’re Never Out Hazy IPA.

The Collective at Escape marks the next evolution of Escape Brewing, adding a new food hall that pairs their award-winning beers with six of Tampa Bay’s most exciting food spots—making it the go-to destination for craft beer and great eats in Trinity. The new dining options include:

Gallito Taqueria – Authentic Mexican street food with signature Quesabirria tacos.

Dang Dude – Asian-inspired street food, featuring noodles, dumplings, and spring rolls.

Jimmy Renner’s Burger Co. – Hand-crafted smash burgers and fried chicken with top-quality ingredients.

3 Corners Pizza – Pizza by the slice or the pie, hot and fresh with bold flavors, stuffed subs, and crisp salads.

Florida Donut Lab – Sweet, savory, and boozy donuts complemented by gourmet coffee drinks.

ĀTO Burrito and Bowls – Rolls, burritos, and bowls made with the freshest and highest quality ingredients to create your own edible art.

“We’re thrilled to bring together amazing food and great beer,” says Escape Brewing co-founder Matt Thompson. “This will be a place for the community to come together and enjoy incredible craft beer paired with some of the best local eats.”

The Collective at Escape will have a soft opening of the brewery and taproom starting Oct 25th, continuing into the weekend with a Halloween-themed Night Market on Saturday, Oct 26 starting at 6:00 p.m. The market will feature a grown-up costume contest, local vendors, live music, and pop-up previews from The Collective’s restaurant partners. The festivities continue Sunday, Oct 27 when families are invited to a unique Trunk or Treat event from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Kids will collect treats from decorated car trunks in a safe and festive environment, while parents unwind in the taproom and catch the game.

The Collective at Escape will host a grand opening event when the new food hall is completed in mid-November. This event will feature specials on food and beer, appearances by local artist Veronica Steiner, and live music throughout the weekend. Additional details will be shared on The Collective at Escape’s social media channels.
