Tripping Animals Brewing, the Doral-based brewery known for its innovative brews and vibrant culture, is taking its talents to Oakland Park, Florida. Co-Founder and Executive Creative Director Ignacio Montenegro shared a few insights with Florida Beer News about the new taproom, which is set for its grand opening on Friday, December 6th.
“The idea for a new space came from our desire to expand the Tripping Animals experience and meet growing demand,” said Ignacio. “We wanted to create something fresh while staying true to our roots, and Oakland Park felt like the right place to make it happen.”
Located in the heart of a thriving craft beer scene, the 5,000-square-foot venue has both an indoor taproom and a outdoor beer garden. While the new location won’t see brewing on-site, it promises a unique and immersive experience, complete with an exclusive food program from their in-house food concept, Trippy Kitchen, and 10 draft lines showcasing their award-winning beers. Guests can expect a mix of core favorites, experimental drafts, and exclusive brews created just for the Oakland Park community.
“This will be a satellite taproom, so while we’ll maintain our core lineup, we’ll also have exclusive drafts alongside some experimental brews,” Ignacio explained.
For Tripping Animals, Oakland Park wasn’t just a strategic choice but a heartfelt one. “We love the energy of Oakland Park and Ft. Lauderdale and the craft beer culture in the area. It’s a growing community with a strong appreciation for breweries,” Ignacio shared. “We felt it was the perfect spot to connect with new folks while still bringing the Tripping Animals spirit to life. And it’s great to be close to old friends, like all the breweries around the area.”
The new taproom represents a major milestone for Tripping Animals as they continue to grow and connect with beer lovers across Florida. “Honestly, we’re just super excited to be expanding into a new community,” said Ignacio. “It’s a big milestone for us, and we can’t wait for people to check it out.”
