Black Friday marks the release of Bourbon County Stout

There was much talk after the purchase of Goose Island Brewing Company by Anheuser-InBev about the production of the much-lauded Bourbon County Stout. AB-InBev has decided to continue making this acclaimed stout, and 2013 marks the launch of several variants of Bourbon County Stout, and Florida’s first time being able to celebrate the release of this obsidian-colored wonder. Black Friday is the traditional nationwide release date of this behemoth of a beer (the smallest variant weighing in at over 12% alcohol).

This year’s Bourbon County stouts (BCS) will include the traditional version of BCS; Coffee BCS, a version treated with coffee; Backyard Rye, a version aged in Templeton Rye Whiskey barrels with 50 pounds of mulberry, marionberry, and boysenberry puree per barrel; and finally Bourbon County Barleywine, a traditional English Barleywine aged in third-use bourbon barrels.
