Boca Raton’s Barrel of Monks Brewing announces three beers coming to cans soon, with pre-orders open now.
From Barrel of Monks Brewing:
Waypoint IPA (6.5% ABV): Our new flagship beer is brewed with Centennial, El Dorado, and Chinook hops, as well as a newly developed, expressive tropical yeast strain; this American IPA is jam-packed with fruit flavors. As your nose meets the glass, you’re hit with fragrant citrus that runs the gamut from sweet tangerine to pithy grapefruit. The taste follows suit with waves of mandarin orange, grapefruit, pineapple, peaches & green melon while maintaining a hint of resinous green character for balance. Very dry and crushable at 6.5%, it is endlessly complex, with each sip unlocking new flavors and aromas.
Mocha Quadrupel (10.5% ABV): Mocha Quad is our confectionary coffee creation steeped in Belgian tradition but enhanced with an array of flavors uncharacteristic of your typical Quadrupel. The addition of fresh, locally roasted coffee beans provides a robust roastiness to this big, malty Belgian ale. It is complemented by rich chocolate notes from copious amounts of premium cacao nibs. Finally, a hefty dose of Tahitian vanilla beans brings it all together by smoothing out the 10.5% ABV and softening the edges of mild bitterness provided by the coffee and chocolate. Savor each sip patiently as the complexity of flavor only heightens as it warms in your glass. Available for a limited time on draft and in 4-pack cans. Coffee and beer – the best of both worlds!
Single in Havana (4.5% ABV): Cans are back baby! For a limited time, we will have cans of one of your favorite Barrel of Monks creations. Perfect for the boat or the beach! Single in Havana is a light blonde ale at 4.5% with a hint of guava. We pitch our fruit during fermentation to dry out the beer. What that does is provide the flavor and aroma of guava without the overwhelming sweetness—the perfect crisp and refreshing ale to enjoy outdoors.
All three beers are now available for pre-orders at this link.
About Barrel of Monks Brewing
Barrel of Monks was founded by good friends who came together to create something that has seldom been done in the United States…a brewery making exclusively Belgian-style beer. The focus is on quality – combining traditional techniques with modern technology.
Several years ago, they started traveling to Belgium to see how their favorite beers were brewed. Along the way, they learned about themselves as well as the beer. The three friends started brewing themselves and never looked back, honing their brewing skills to develop high-quality ales reminiscent of the fine ales coming out of Belgium.
