Press Release:

While Cask & Larder prides itself on being a leader in the local farm-to-table movement, we must admit we’re pretty giddy about our upcoming “Belgian Beer Dinner,” pairing beers inspired by Belgium’s famed monk brewers with our southern-inspired cuisine. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if this event spawns a new “Monastery-to-Mouth” movement.

Our resident brewmaster, Ron Raike, and a handful of his craft brewery friends are certainly no saints, which prevents them from practicing their craft at Belgium’s monastery brew houses. In our eyes though, they are beer-brewing Gods and well-versed in Belgium’s illustrious brewing history, which dates back to the medieval ages.

In the spirit of friendly competition, Ron and friends will be pitting some of their latest Belgian monastery inspired beers against each other at the July 29 dinner, which will also feature four of our favorite seasonal dishes.
