It was a fortunate coincidence that I had my recorder handy during August’s Florida Brewers Guild Conference, as both men were in attendance and had some time to sit down and talk about their journeys as brewers and record some of the names of brewers who have come and gone from Florida breweries. South Florida’s Barrel of Monks Brewing announces two new highly anticipated annual bottle releases coming to their tap room. Located in Boca Raton, Barrel of Monks Brewing is known for their dedication to traditional Belgian-inspired ales. While some of Barrel of Monks’s beers are regularly released in cans, these seasonal beers are released in large-format 750mL bottles.
Florida’s breweries have been bringing home an increasing number of medals from all manner of competitions, and it looks like 2022 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) is no exception. This year, Florida craft breweries brought home twelve medals from the GABF.
