Tampa’s Cigar City Brewing has celebrated many, many milestones in their 17 years of brewing in the Bay Area. From their numerous state, national, and international awards to brewery launches, countless beer dinners (including one in the cooler to mimic a Russian winter), collaboration beers, and a festival or two, but now CCB will be commemorating another “first”: the first time they’ve moved away from Spruce Street.

Like other adolescents who have to go and live on their own, the brewery will be moving to their namesake Cigar City, Tampa’s Ybor City, and bidding a fond farewell to the facility where they made their name.

Starting in one corner and eventually taking over the entire plaza, Cigar City Brewing’s facility has grown to match their renown – from a small corner to an entire campus and satellite taprooms. September 20th will mark the official end of service at 3924 West Spruce Street before Cigar City Brewing moves operations to Ybor City’s 8th Avenue.

From Cigar City Brewing:

Sunday, September 20 marks the final day at our Spruce St. Taproom location, but this isn’t goodbye to Cigar City Brewing. It’s a farewell to one chapter and the start of another.

Join us for one last celebration of 17 years on Spruce St., featuring special vintage bottles, food specials all day from This Little Pig, and pop-ups from Flour Hustler and Signature Popcorn.

Come raise a glass, share a few memories, and give the Spruce St. Taproom the sendoff it deserves.

About Cigar City Brewing
Steeped in the unique culture and history of Tampa, Florida, Cigar City Brewing began handcrafting award-winning beer in 2009. Cigar City Brewing’s ales and lagers bring to mind the sun and citrus for which Florida is known while taking cues from the cigar industry upon which Tampa was built. Behind all of Cigar City Brewing’s liquid is the philosophy that quality is achieved by giving first-rate ingredients to first-rate people in a space where they are free to pursue their passion.
