Coppertail Brewing is hoping that their long days journey into production is about over. Tampa’s long up-and-coming craft brewery is about to hit a new milestone: their beer will be sent to distribution this week.
According to Coppertail owner Kent Bailey, “we’re sending kegs out to distribution next Wednesday the 20th. We’ll be sending out 4 styles initially: Free Dive IPA, Unholy Trippel, Night Swim Porter, and Wheat Stroke American Wheat. We’ll supplement those with periodic special releases. We have a Stone Crab Stout (boiled with real stone crab claws), a Berlinner Weisse, and a French Saison lined up for special releases over the next three months.”
In terms of where to find Coppertail’s beers, Bailey says that they will be taking care of the first establishments that have asked them for their beer. They will begin with the fist six bars that ever asked them for beer, and those are “The Independent, Mr. Dunderbaks, New World Brewery, Stein and Vine, The Pour House, and The Dirty Shame. We’ll add a few more accounts each month.”
It’s been a long road for the Coppertail crew, but they are about to let the Coppertail (beer) out of its home and into the craft beer environs of Tampa.
