Darwin Brewing Company, the same brewery that brewed award-winning beers at Darwin’s on Fourth Brewpub, has announced that their new production facility will be opening soon.

The new brewery will have its grand opening on May 24th, and will be open “Thursdays and Fridays from 3-10, and Saturdays and Sundays 12-10. We will be open to the public with these hours starting Saturday 5/3.”

As for what beers to expect from the new Bradenton production brewery, according to production manager Matt Cornelius:

Production beers will be our Summadayze IPA, Charapa (Spiced Porter), Ayawasca (Belgian Strong), Pirata Pilsner, and Circa 1926 (Tangerine Wheat). All of these will be available at both the brewpub as well as the brewery tasting room. Generally, we will use the brewpub as somewhat of a lab for our newest brews. Popular beers will be available at both locations.

Darwin Brewing Company will be distributed throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties at first. Cornelius says the brewery “ha[s] plans for expansion throughout the state, hopefully next year. We have also saved room for expansion at our Bradenton facility. You’ll be able to find our beer in restaurants and bars throughout the two counties hopefully by mid June. We will only be kegging initially.”

Darwin Brewing Company’s production brewery is located at 803 17th Avenue West in Bradenton. The Sarasota brewpub will still be open and will include new beers produced on that site as well.
