At a time when many of Florida’s craft breweries are sharing unfortunate news, Lakeland’s Dissent Brewing announces that their Lakeland location will be closing its doors.
From Dissent Brewing Lakeland
It’s with a heavy heart that we have to announce that we will be closing dissent’s Lakeland location.
This decision was made for us as the building was sold.
We broke ground on this location 3 weeks before Covid shut the world down and spent the next 2 years building out this location through blood, sweat, tears and a lot of unexpected expenses. We never minded any of that though, because we believe in the brand and we loved being a part of the Lakeland community. We’ve had a successful two years of being open and if circumstances were different, we’d plan on never leaving.
Our last day slinging suds at this location will be Sunday, September 3rd.
We will take this time and focus on our Haines road location as well as our state wide distribution. So, although you may not have a beer in the taproom, we’ll be available throughout Lakeland in different bars, restaurants and package stores.
To our Lakeland family, thank you for your continued support, we love you more than you’ll ever know.
It’s not a good bye, It’s a see you later ?
This news comes at a time when New Port Richey’s Liquid Garage Brewing, 7venth Sun Brewery – Tampa, Tampa’s Rock Brothers Brewing, Tampa’s Garagiste Meadery, and Orlando’s Ellipsis Brewing have all announced impending or current closures.
