Dogfish Head Logo

Delaware-based Dogfish Head Craft Brewery holds the claim as the brewery that brought many drinkers to the craft beer party, and as the brewery enters its 30th year in operation, it is giving a preview and calendar of what its family and fans can expect in the coming year – with a few surprises added in.

Dogfish Head releases for 2025

It’s about that time … time for our 2025 Beverage Calendar to hit the printers, er … screens?? 2025 will bring with it our 30th year (!!!!) of Dogfish Head, so we couldn’t resist celebrating such a huge milestone with some classic throwback brews alongside the beers you know and love AND a few new beverages!

With innovation and experimentation at the core of who we are here at Dogfish Head, our 2025 release calendar features a mix of new and old. From beer to spirits, with cocktails in between, we’ve been busy crafting and we’ve got something for everyone. So, let’s get into it!

Throwback Beers:

A few weeks ago, we took to our social channels to find out what throwback beers our drinkers want to see resurrected in 2025. You all commented, voted and commented some more, and we continuously saw two beers bubble to the top: Raison D’Etre and Chicory Stout. After tallying all the votes and comments, and working with the brewers, we finally came to a brew-clusion … (drumroll) … We decided we couldn’t pick just one, so we’re bringing back BOTH Raison D’Etre AND Chicory Stout in 2025!!!

For our Fall Variety Pack in 2025, we’re making it a bit of a throwback pack, and it will have both Raison D’Etre and Chicory Stout in it, alongside Punkin Ale and 60 Minute IPA. But since we have to wait until the fall for that goodness, we decided to roll out a few more throwback brews in the meantime! Festina Pêche will be making another appearance this summer, and we’re bringing 75 Minute IPA back in our newly updated All IPA Variety Pack. But that’s not all! We’ll also be starting up a NEW small batch series that will feature Liquid Truth Serum and Pennsylvania Tuxedo!!

Season-Ales with Artwork by Drew Millward:

Celebrating the magic at the intersection of art and ales, our Season-Ales series (previously known as our Art Series) is back with a collection of four unique beers featuring label artwork by a collaborating artist. Our 2025 Season-Ales includes our iconic Punkin Ale, the return of Covered In Nuggs, our fan-favorite peach beer Festina Pêche, and a brand-new Imperial Pilsner, Super Doppio!

  • Super Doppio: This brand-new, leveled-up Italian-style Pilsner is brewed with mailed spelt for crispness and dry hopped with gusto, for a robustly hoppy and doubly smooth brew.
  • Festina Pêche: This tart session-sour is a refreshing neo-Berliner Weisse with bright peach notes that’s perfect for summertime sippin’.
  • Punkin Ale: A fall-favorite, full-bodied brown ale brewed with real pumpkin meat, brown sugar and spices.
  • Covered In Nuggs: A classically dank, piney IPA judiciously hopped with heaps of Citra, Simcoe, Amarillo and Centennial hops.

For our 2025 Season-Ales, we asked our pal Drew Millward to flex his creative muscles and design the artwork for our four seasonals. Drew likes to draw ‘the old-fashioned way’, using pencils, pens and has a love of the craft of illustration. He has exhibited throughout the US, UK, Europe and beyond, as well as having the pleasure of creating work for an ever-growing international client base.

Caution … it’s the Caution Cap Series:

The Caution Caps ARE BACK! Made up of beers clocking in at 15.0% ABV or higher, the Caution Cap series is marked by distinct neon yellow and black caps, each adorned with a caution exclamation mark … er, shark. This signature cap is your reminder to pick up a 4-pack for enjoyment now and one for laying down to age.

  • 120 Minute IPA: An unfiltered and abundantly hoppy Imperial IPA continuously hopped with a copious amount of high-alpha American hops throughout the boil and whirlpool, and then dry-hopped with a boatload of hops.
  • NEW! Triple Decadence World Wide Stout: In honor of three decades of Dogfish Head, we’re crafting a Triple Decadence World Wide Stout that celebrates our history with three notable aging woods. This new brew will blend together three threads of barrel-aged World Wide Stouts – World Wide Stout aged in Palo Santo as a celebration of our innovative approach to producing beers; World Wide Stout aged in Let’s Get Lost Whiskey barrels as a nod to our award winning whiskey and years of distillation; and World Wide Stout aged in Utopias Barrels to salute our friends at Sam Adams and their incredibly intricate and unique Utopias.

Year-Round Beer:

  • Citrus Squall: The perfect storm of an imperial golden ale and a paloma cocktail brewed with blue agave nectar, lime peels and grapefruit juice.
  • 60 Minute IPA: A continually hopped IPA brewed with a slew of intense Northwest hops to deliver a pungently, citrusy, grassy hop flavor without being crushingly bitter.
  • 90 Minute Imperial IPA: One of the first continually hopped beers whose powerful malt backbone supports its extreme hopping rate for rich pine and fruity citrus hop aromas, and a pungent, but not overly bitter, hop flavor.
  • SeaQuench Ale: A session sour mash-up of a crisp Kolsch, a salty Gose and a tart Beliner Weiss brewed in sequence with black limes, lime juice and sea salt.
  • Slightly Mighty: A lo-cal IPA that is slight in calories and carbs with mighty hop character and has just 95 calories, 3.6g carbs, 1g protein and 0g fat per 12oz can.
  • Blue Hen® Pilsner**: A crisp and refreshing pilsner brewed with only four ingredients: water, yeast, spicy noble Saaz hops, and Delaware-grown and malted barley.
  • (NEW) Tropical Squall: Our newest innovation takes our squall series on a tropical adventure! This imperial golden ale is brewed with mango and pineapple for the perfect storm of unexpectedly bold and juicy flavor.
