HB 1329, the so-called “Craft Brewery Killing” bill filled by Representative Ray Rodrigues of south Florida has been changed to strike language that would hurt craft breweries.
According to Due South Brewing:
A favorable ‘strike all’ has been approved for HB 1329! Things went in the favor of the local craft breweries because of your support. THANK YOU! We’ll get into details later but for now know Representative Rodrigues has agreed to change HB 1329 to favor breweries as opposed to kill them. Cheers!
This is great news for Florida’s craft breweries, but favorable and unfavorable bills still exist in Florida’s house and senate. SB 7120 is still out there, and is next on the opposition list. It is time to have a celebratory beer, but not rest on laurels.
