Gainesville’s mainstay brewery, Swamp Head, has came together a few days ago with Ormond Beach’s future craft brewery, Tomoka Brewery, and brewed a collaboration beer in the copper kettles at Swamp Head’s facility. Swamp Head responded for a request for comment with more information on the beer:
It is not really a Berliner, more of a Mexicola American sour. Its a sour mash beer with pilsner malt and debittered black malt. Lightly hopped for 5 IBU. It will be paired with Mexicola syrup, made with cola, agave nectar, sugar, lime, and mint.
According to Tomoka brewery the beer will be called “Agrio Oscuro” and will released at both Swamp Head and Tomoka Brewery at their grand opening, some time later this month (June).
