Gulfport- Peg of Peg’s Cantina clarifies the relationship between Peg’s Cantina and Cycle Brewing of Saint Petersburg: the two businesses share the same brewer.

Cycle Brewing is open at 534 Central Avenue in St. Pete. Doug and
Tara have a brewery and tasting room only, no food. Cycle Brewing is
it’s own company and not part of Peg’s, however; the Cantina is the
“birth place” of Cycle Brewing…and since Doug is my son, I guess you
could say we will always be related…
Peg’s Cantina will continue to brew on-site, with Doug as the head
brewer and Eric T. and Eric H. pitching in when needed. Life at Peg’s
Cantina won’t change, but life in downtown St. Petersburg has; It has
a brewery!
Peg’s Cantina operates in Gulfport and Cycle Brewing will open at St. Petersburg’s first craft brewery.
About Peg’s Cantina
Peg, Tony and Doug opened their first restaurant in 2004. Calling it “A Gulfport Original,” Peg’s Pizza Cantina combined Thin Crust Pizza and Fresh Mexican Food. The cantina came to have lines of customers waiting in the parking lot to get a seat. The open kitchen brought customer and cook together in a way that larger places are just not able to. The main goal was to create a public space that brought folks together to share food, drink and fun. The experiment is evolving. Peg’s added an on-site brewery that brought the creative talents of Peg’s son Doug Dozark to a head. In 2013, Doug branched off and form his own brewery, Cycle Brewing, while still brewing at Peg’s.
