Whether visiting for the NFL’s biggest game in February 2021 or simply a long weekend, Tampa Bay is home to some of the most highly-regarded breweries in the craft beer world.
It’s hard to believe that breweries like Angry Chair Brewing are entering their adolescence in the Florida craft beer scene. It seemed like only yesterday that the small brewery opened with three taps (none of them stouts) and hopes of releasing packaged beer someday. Fast forward five years and their beer is some of the most highly sought after in the world.
Tampa’s 7venth Sun Brewery is turning two years old this week, and what better way to celebrate than by releasing a beer done in a style where both breweries excel: pastry stouts.
Angry Chair Brewing has made dessert beers their calling card. The Seminole Heights craft brewery has so far released beers based on sweet treats like cupcakes and french toast (not to mention some great sour beers), and their next release falls right in line.
Angry Chair Brewing Company is becoming “less theoretical by the day,” says co-owner Ryan Dowdle. Dowdle is rightfully excited because now, after years of waiting, delays, and more delays, Angry Chair Brewing Company has passed the point of no return. This weekend, Angry Chair Brewing has filled its first keg.
7venth Sun Brewery, Dunedin’s Broadway brewery, has had quite a week. Brewing beer to keep up with demand, even brewing collaboration beers is nothing new to these sunny folks. This week saw two guest collaborators with plenty of great beers in store.
