About Copperpoint Brewing
After a 9 month search for the perfect space, owners, Al Lettera and Matt Cox, decided on Boynton Beach for the brewery when they found a great building that was perfect for their operation. Copperpoint’s tasting room is a place where Brewmaster, Matt Cox, brews his “traditional beer styles with bold, intense flavors” and several seasonal beers that will range from 5%-12% alcohol on a 20 bbl, DME brewing system, built in Prince Edward Island. Initially utilizing 5 fermenters, (3 – 20bbl and 2 – 40bbls).

Patrons can enjoy what Matt describes as “diverse beers and some experimental, out of the box styles” in a spacious, and nicely built out, air conditioned, tasting room.

What beers are being released?

Lake Tribe In the Hopper Pils

In the Hopper Pilsner:  a light crisp pilsner to be enjoyed on this grand occasion. What makes this pilsner special? We found the perfect site for a pack full of citrusy hops to seek shelter. While the bitterness is kept in check, make no mis’stake’, the flavor, and aroma of this special beer are ‘In Tents’, so take cover!

Lake Tribe Well Behaved Wheat

Beckster’s ‘Wh’ell Behaved ‘Wh’eat ‘Satsuma Edition’: This special release spin on our citrusy hopped wheat infuses locally farm grown Satsuma oranges for smooth citrusy tang that will make your taste buds line dance!  This will be 1 of 3 craft offerings released Saturday in collaboration with local Florida & Georgia orange growers, Bethel Oaks Farms.  The amazing folks from Bethel Oaks Farm will be joining us for the festivities to talk about the craft of local orange growing, and providing samples of their heavenly juice!

Lake Tribe Satsuma Orange Shandy

SOS – Satsuma Orange Shandy: What’s a shandy? Its a beer mixed with a soft drink. For our 2nd collaboration with Florida Georgia Citrus we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make a dandy shandy using the sweet orange nectar grown right here in our home state. While most shandys have the soft drink added after fermentation, we added ours during. The result? A dry, tart beacon of hope perfect for times of distress! Pouring Saturday, if you find yourself up a creek without a paddle!

In the same newsletter, Engine 15 gives a small update on the progress of their downtown location:

The Downtown location re-zoning is moving along. This Thursday, June 9th our application goes before the Planning Commission. The Planning commission will review the application and determine if the proposed use is consistent with the city’s 2030 Comprehensive plan. We believe it is and hopefully the Commission will agree and recommend for approval.

Later this month on June 21st our application is scheduled to be reviewed by Land Use and Zoning. Once both of these are reviewed and depending on their particular recommendations and comments, we will have more information on the progress. So wish us well and we will update everyone with more information later in the month.

Magic Hat is bringing back three favorites for anniversary

Press Release:

Magic Hat Brewing Company recently announced the return of Belgo Sutra – a highly exclusive, small batch Belgian Dark Ale brewed with six different malts and fermented over figs and dates. With an ABV of 8.2%, Belgo Sutra offers a deep complexity that will pleasure the palate and leave taste buds begging for more.

“Belgo Sutra is our take on a Belgian Dark Strong Ale. We pulled out all the stops on this one to deliver a unique profile,” said Chris Rockwood, Head Brewer, Magic Hat Brewing Company. “By adding Belgian dark candi sugar, figs and dates to the primary fermentation tank, we infused beautiful tones of dark fruits layered over a malt body. With just enough hops to keep it from being too sweet, this delightfully sensual beer ends with flavors that are sure to excite beer lovers everywhere.”

Belgo Sutra pairs perfectly with steaks, stews and rib roasts. It also complements milk chocolate and Morbier cheese.

Belgo Sutra is extremely limited. It is only available on draft at the Magic Hat Artifactory®, the brewery’s on-site tasting room in Burlington, VT, as well as on tap at some of the top beer bars across the country.

Born in 1994… Magic Hat Toasts to 21 years!
Magic Hat is celebrating its 21st birthday by throwing it back to the ’90s by releasing two of its early beers.

Magic Hat Ale, the first beer that the Vermont Brewery ever brewed, is making an appearance for a limited time. This Irish-style Red Ale delivers a tantalizing combination of an intoxicating nose, smooth malty palate with a spicy finish and a ruby red hue.

In addition to Magic Hat Ale, the Vermont Brewery is bringing back its coveted Miss Bliss, a spicy Wry Ale with rich malt character. Rated “world-class” by The Bros at Beeradvocate when it debuted in 1998, Miss Bliss has not been brewed since. A new generation of beer drinkers and Miss Bliss’ original fans will have the chance to add a little zest to their lives with notes of rye bread and a touch of caramel, followed by a dash of coriander and orange peel, ending in a spicy-sweet finish.

Magic Hat Ale and Miss Bliss are available within both 12-paks and 24-paks of Magic Hat’s Night of the Living Dead Variety Pak. These packs can be found at select grocery, convenience and club stores nationwide, as well as on tap at the Magic Hat Artifactory®, the brewery’s on-site tasting room in Burlington, VT.
