Tickets for Sierra Nevada’s Beer Camp Tampa now on sale

Press release: Tickets for Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.’s Beer Camp Across America (BCAA) six-city festival tour, presented by the Florida Brewers Guild, are now available for purchase at: www.sierranevada.com/beercamp. Join the nation’s largest celebration of locally brewed craft beer, so far with more than 300 craft brewers signed up to pour alongside Sierra Nevada. The Tampa festival lineup includes the six original BCAA collaboration beers (available in stores in May) and an incredibly diverse selection of beers from South East brew-masters and beyond. Tickets include a collector’s edition sampling glass, tastings and live entertainment. Festival-goers can also enjoy local Tampa eats. Sierra Nevada’s Beer Camp is coming to Tampa

Sierra Nevada Brewing Company set out to make history and legacy with the opening of their Mills River facility. While the brewery made history, their legacy is Beer Camp, a concept that has grown to include a festival showcasing craft beer in a given region. This year Sierra Nevada will bring Beer Camp to Tampa and, in typical Sierra Nevada fashion, they are bringing friends.

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. will host its second Beer Camp Across America (BCAA) festival tour in June 2016 with stops in Tampa, Fla., Seattle, Milwaukee, San Francisco, Boston and Los Angeles. BCAA festivals will offer craft beer fans the opportunity to sample specialty brews from hundreds of local and regional brewers while interacting with some of the most influential names in craft brewing. Every craft brewery is invited to pour at any of the six festival locations. Each event will also celebrate and serve six limited edition collaboration beers – each one created by a different regional team of five breweries alongside Sierra Nevada.

Cigar City Brewing Skyline

Marshal Zhukov returns and Cigar City expands tasting room

Tampa’s Cigar City Brewing has been in the news lately for helping to put Tampa at the top of a list of emerging beer cities. CCB Brewmaster Wayne Wambles has gone to beer camp with Sierra Nevada as he helps to celebrate the opening of their Asheville, NC brewery. Cigar City will soon be available on Carnival Cruise Lines, and now Cigar City is expanding their tasting room again.

According to CCB owner Joey Redner, CCB is “building out the space in the original brewery. Basically adding a/c and laying the space out better to accommodate larger groups.” This change will cause a cancellation of brewery tours until construction is complete. “Unfortunately, due to the construction we are going to have to cancel all brewery tours from August 1st-October 1st. The tasting room will remain open for business as usual during this time-frame.”

This news comes on the heels of the release date of 2014 bottling of Marshal Zhukov’s Imperial Stout. Distribution will hit on “August 1st! Bottles will go on sale in our tasting room on Monday, August 4th.” As a final comment, Cigar City posts that “It’s drinking good.”
