Proof Brewing, Tallahassee’s first and oldest craft brewery has announced the tap list for their tenth anniversary on February 19th. The list includes many new treatments of old Proof favorites. Dessert lovers rejoice, for many of the beers being tapped to celebrate are targeted to those with a sweet tooth.
Jacksonville’s Intuition Ale Works is again releasing their barrel-aged imperial stout, dubbed Underdark, at their Jacksonville brewery. Underdark 2022 will be available in cans, and the release will begin at 10am. 2022 will mark the tenth anniversary of Intuition’s Underdark release, and the ninth year that the beer has been packaged in bottles and cans.
Like Cigar City Brewing’s Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout 2022, Intuition’s Underdark will be released in cans, except 12oz cans instead of 16oz cans. Unlike Hunahpu’s, Underdark’s flavor stems from its time in various types of barrels, and then those variants are blended together.

Since its acquisition by Fireman Capital, Tampa’s Cigar City Brewing has refreshed its brand and continued to innovate and expand the brewery’s brand footprint.
Tampa’s Cigar City Brewing announced a few innovations before the new year, and now they are unveiling their latest new packaging – a variety pack of 12oz cans – all of which are in the Jai Alai IPA brand family, including a newly canned variant of Jai Alai.

Sun King Sarasota will take over the location of an existing 5,000-square-foot brewery and taproom located at 1215 Mango Ave. with plans to open in the summer.

The Sun King Sarasota Brewery and Tap Room will feature 18 taps including core beers like Sunlight Cream Ale, Keller Haze, and Orange Vanilla Cream Ale, as well as seasonal and specialty beers such as Amber Has Two Moms sand a rotating pastry stout, all of which have been top sellers for Sun King in Florida. Sun King plans to brew handcrafted, distinctive specialty beers specifically for Florida craft beer lovers that will feature distinct ingredients, styles, and methods.
The new Sun King Sarasota Brewery and Tap Room will feature food from local food trucks, and customers will be able to purchase carry-out cans, growlers, and kegs. The family-friendly facility will also feature games and activities located inside and in the large, outdoor seating area. Joe Burns, vice president of sales for Sun King, who lives nearby in Bradenton, will oversee operations for Sun King’s new location.
