Tampa Bay Brewing Company is releasing three beers on Black Friday

Like several other breweries across Florida, Tampa Bay Brewing Company is releasing bottles of special beers on Black Friday.

From the Tampa Bay Brewing Company newsletter:

All of the following beers will be released on Black Friday – no specifics on location(s), please contact TBBC for details.

Gingy Imperial Stout
Notes of rich molasses, caramel, chocolate, milk, and vanilla support an aroma of ginger and nutmeg in this blend of 50% Barrel Aged and 50% fresh Imperial Sweet Stout.

Dixie Dirt Barrel Aged Imperial Stout
Chocolate aroma introduces the beer as hints of caramel and molasses come forward followed closely by lingering espresso roast. The complex layers of flavor are further enhanced by barrel aging to give a subtle smoothness that is reminiscent of spilt moonshine in southern dirt…That’s Dixie Dirt!

Egg Nog Lager
A crisp tall glass of winter cheer produced for the Florida Holidays. Brewed with Pilsner & Honey Malt and aged on barrel oak, cinnamon, nutmeg, and all spice.

Hourglass Brewery releases two beers on Black Friday

Many breweries across the Sunshine State are releasing special beers on Black Friday, Hourglass Brewery of Longwood is releasing two bottles on this post-Thanksgivinig extravaganza.

From the Hourglass Brewery newsletter:

To keep the party going, we’ve decided to release a one-of-a-kind Black Friday gift basket containing two of our barrel-aged bottles and special edition glasses to go with them! Each basket will include a 2016 La Fée Dragée (rum barrel-aged Belgian Christmas ale) and a 2016 Auld Clootie (bourbon barrel-aged old ale). Because every good beer needs the proper glass, our Black Friday gift basket will also contain two special edition 14oz Libbey Abbey goblets, each with a 14-karat gold trim and logo representing each beer.

This unique basket will be available Black Friday an is price at $45. Doors open at 11am. Stay up to date by following our Facebook event page. We hope to see you there!

About the beers:

Hourglass Brewery La Fee Dragee

La Fée Dragée is a 11.3% ABV Belgian Christmas Ale aged in rum barrels. This holiday beer includes a bevy of delicious dried fruits and spices and bursts with tasting notes of apricots, plums, and Turkish figs. This rich and dark ale is spiced with freshly grated nutmeg, allspice berries, ginger, and sweet orange peel to conjure up the holiday spirit.

 

 

Hourglass Brewery Auld Clootie

Auld Clootie is a 12.2% ABV old ale brewed with copious amounts of barley and a touch of brown sugar that is then fermented with a blend of traditional English and Sherry yeasts. Auld Clootie was split between bourbon and wine barrels and blended back together. The result is a rich and smooth brew with fruity esters that finishes with notes of bourbon, vanilla, and oak.

The Hourglass Brewery is located at 480 South Ronald Reagan Boulevard in Longwood.

Tomoka Brewery brings dark ales for Black Friday

Tomoka Brewery, Ormond Beach’s first craft brewery, has a plan for Black Friday. That plan involves bringing all dark ales to their tap room while providing a respite from the holiday shopping bonanza going on around the world.

Tomoka Brewery will tap kegs of:

*Bourbon barrel-aged Peter the Great Russian Imperial Stout
*Palm Ridge barrel-aged Bittersweet Symphony Imperial Porter
*Hazelnut Chocolate Porter
*Black Drink Coffee IPA

Among other surprises.

Tampa Bay Brewing Company new bottle release

Tampa Bay Brewing Company of Ybor City will be going out of their ordinary canning and draft releases to release, Apparition, a Belgian Tripel brewed in honor of Johnny Doble, the TBBC family’s son and brother, who passed away in 2003. This beer will be released in a special party on Black Friday, which this year falls on the same day as Johnny’s birthday.

Apparition Belgian Tripel Bottle Release. On April 16 this year, Brewmaster David Doble and his brewers produced a limited production batch of our Apparition. This delectable Belgian Tripel has been aging in anticipation of a bottle release on November 28th! David has made a limited number of bottles available (about 120) on our online store. The Apparition is sold in 750ml bottles, caged and corked much like many popular Belgian beers. The cost per bottle is $24. There is a limit of two bottles per person and they must be purchased in advance through our online store.

Then on November 28th (Black Friday of all days…), we will hold a small bottle release party that you may gain entry to with your paid receipt printed from our online store. Each bottle purchased will allow one person into the event; so purchase two bottles and bring a guest. During the event we will toast Johnny, drink some beers and offer some appetizers. You will be able to pick-up your bottles at this event. If you cannot make the event, your receipt can be redeemed for bottles during regular business hours after November 28th.

As a matter of background, this beer is a tribute to Johnny Doble who we lost on April 16, 2003; Johnny’s birthday is November 28th. Come help us celebrate a brewer that changed the landscape of Florida beer forever.

Motorworks Brewing to pour barrel-aged brews on Black Friday

Black Friday has become the day when crazy deals bring even modest shoppers out into the retail wilderness. Local craft breweries have caught on to this madness and, in recent years, have done their best to be a port in the storm for weary Christmas shoppers. This year, Motorworks Brewing will stop teasing photos and hints of their barrel-aged beers and pour them on Black Friday.

Don’t fight the holiday crowds this year! Instead come treat yourself to some very Limited Edition Special Releases, including our Barrel Aged Barleywine, Barrel Aged Tamarind Brown Ale, and Russian Imperial Stout, available both on draft and for the first time ever, in the bottle also! Due South to celebrate Black Friday in style

Due South Brewing Co. will host its Third Annual Black Friday Celebration on November 28, 2014.

In addition to the many beers already on tap, the brewery will feature limited release dark beers tapped throughout the day. Many of these beers will only be available at the brewery and some are so limited that only one keg was made. Brewery visitors will be able to taste specialties like Mocha Stout, Peppermint Paddy, Bourbon Barrel Aged 2013 Pico Duarte (the brewery’s award winning imperial stout, aged in bourbon barrels), One Eyed Tiki (a porter made with coconut), and Mexican Standoff (an imperial porter with chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, and habanero peppers).

Big savings will be offered at certain times throughout the day, like brewery t-shirts for $10 and buy a pint and keep the glass.

Bombshell BBQ food truck will be onsite starting at noon and Poor Boys Kitchen food truck will be available for the evening. Patrons are always welcome to bring their own food or order delivery to the brewery.

There is no admission fee to attend. Food & drinks must be purchased. Everyone is welcome noon to 6pm. After 6pm, you must be 21 or older to be in the brewery. No pets allowed.

Motorworks Brewing, fresh off their medal win at the Great American Beer Festival, has teased the release of their barrel-aged offerings.

A few months ago, Motorworks told the world that they had Jack Daniels barrels that would hold their aging beer. This week, the brewery hinted at their release:
