Barrel-Aged Roxy’s on tap today

Jacksonville’s Bold City Brewery will have Roxy’s Cream Ale aged in bourbon barrels on tap starting today.

According to the Bold City Newsletter:

…the Bourbon Barrel Aged Roxy’s Imperial Cream Ale will be tapped on Thursday 12/18/14 @ noon. This is also the day our beloved Jags take on one of our rivals, the Tennessee Titans. The Bold City Tap Room will be opening @ noon and closing @ 6pm so we can all get down to the game. Quart growler fills / purchases of the Barrel Aged Roxy’s will be available.

Bold City Brewing to tap Secret Stout

Bold City Brewing is not keeping this stout a secret for very long. One of their rotating seasonal beers, Secret Stout makes an annual appearance, and then goes away. Well in 2014, Bold City announced the arrival of the Secret Stout and it is not so hush-hush.

From Bold City Newsletter:

On Wednesday 11/26/14 @ noon we will be tapping our winter seasonal, the Super Secret Stout just in time for Thanksgiving BABY! The tap room will be closed on Thanksgiving so we will be open @ noon-11pm on Wednesday 11/26. We will also be tapping a cask of the Super Secret Stout @ noon on 11/26.

Bold City Brewing celebrates six years

The Bold City Brewery family will be celebrating six years of Jax beers at their Roselle Street facility this October.

Bold City Brewery’s Sixth Anniversary Celebration

$2 pints all day, including Barrel-aged Duke’s and 1901.

5 different live bands throughout the day.
Raffles for free beer for a year, free growlers for a year, swag, and more.

Bold City Brewing Company expands distribution to Orlando

Press Release:

Bold City Brewery is extremely excited and proud to announce our expansion to the greater Orlando metropolitan area and our partnership with City Beverages of Orlando. They will begin distributing our products starting April 1st (and we’re not fooling!).

Brands will include Killer Whale Cream Ale, Duke’s Cold Nose Brown Ale and Mad Manatee IPA. All 3 products will be available in 6 pack cans. Killer Whale and Dukes will also be available in draft. Select seasonals will be released into the Orlando market as capacity allows.

In order to continue to meet it’s current market demand and support the Orlando market, Bold City Brewery has increased capacity by 60% through adding an 80 barrel fermentation tank to it’s current brewery configuration.

Susan Miller, Owner / CEO of Bold City Brewery said, “Our expansion into the Orlando market is very exciting for the Bold City Brewery family and we believe there is vast opportunity for growth in Orlando. The folks at City Beverages will take excellent care of our products and work closely with us as we expand distribution into the Florida market.”

The brand release into the Orlando market will begin with:
· The 6th Annual East Orlando Beer Festival on Saturday, March 29 being held at the Waterford
Lakes Town Center from 4 – 8 pm. Look for our Bold City tent! We will have our
Dukes Cold Nose Brown Ale and Killer Whale Cream Ale on tap and cans of our Mad
Manatee IPA. Tickets are $25 in advance.

· Our official Bold City Release Party at the Public House (12046 Collegiate Way Orlando, Florida 32817) on Tuesday, April 1, begins at 7pm.

Look for our beers at your local bar and restaurant, as well as your local grocer and liquor stores. Bold City products are currently available in Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Gainesville, Fernandina, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota and Orlando beginning April 1st.

Bold City Brewery, the first craft brewery in Jacksonville, was started in 2008 by the mother-son team of Susan and Brian Miller.

1901 returns to Bold City and special tappings

Jacksonville- Bold City Brewery’s newest newsletter has some great news for any locals or travelers that missed some of Bold City’s seasonals.

The brewery also released rough dates for the release of their D Coffee Stout and Roxy’s Imperial Cream Ale.

I wanted to send out an email to let you guys know that the 1901 is back on tap today and to inform you of some beer tapping’s that are coming up @ the Bold City Tap Room. We always keep some kegs back from different brews throughout the year and they are really coming in handy here lately. Please see below for the dates and beers we will be tapping.

1/30/14- Bold City Pumpkin Ale
2/8/14- Bold City Signature Series Saison (Trolley Weekend)
3/15/14- Bold City Irish Red (Flip Cup Tournament)
4/3/14- Oktoberfest (kind of half way to the real Oktoberfest!)

We’ll also be releasing the D Coffee Stout as well as Roxy’s Imperial Cream Ale in March 2014. Dates to come.

Bold City has some liquid Christmas presents

Jacksonville- Bold City Brewing Company has been saving some of their beers to share with their thirsty fans on Christmas Eve.

According to the brewery newsletter:

we have a bit of a present in store for you guys on Tuesday 12/24 (Christmas Eve). You guys already know that we will be open from 12pm-6pm but what you don’t know is that we have saved some brews from the past year to be tapped as well. We’ll be tapping the Super Secret Stout, Big John’s Apricot Wheat and the Smokey Porter. We’ll be doing growler fills of all three ONLY ON TUESDAY 12/24. We’ll also be tapping two holiday inspired CASK ales @ noon.
