Darwin Brewing cans and releases Llama Mama Milk Stout

Press Release: For the first time since its brewing inception, Darwin Brewing Company’s flagship stout, Llama Mama Milk Stout, has found its way onto retail shelves. The Bradenton-based brewery is proud to announce the release of 12 oz. cans into distribution throughout the state of Florida.

Llama Mama Milk Stout is a beautifully-balanced beer, featuring roasted malt, notes of caramel, and a creamy Amazonian chocolate finish. It’s a beer that would make any mama proud: a full-flavored, medium-bodied stout, with just the right amount of curves and topped with thick, creamy brunette foam. Brewmaster Jorge Rosabal remarks, “We’re so excited to now offer our customers a dark beer as a package product. Darwin Brewing Co fans will fall in love with this beauty!”

JDub’s Brewing to open The Dub Shack offsite taproom

Press Release: JDub’s Brewing Company is excited to announce the opening of our off-site taproom, “The Dub Shack at UTC”, which is tentatively scheduled to open the end of January.

The Dub Shack address is 8217 Tourist Center Drive, Bradenton, FL 34201, formerly a World Of Beer franchise location. The concept is similar to other breweries opening off-site taprooms, an experience that mimics the feel of the brewery itself. There will be a live video feed of brewing operations at JDub’s Brewing Company as well as similar art created by local artists on the walls. The Dub Shack at UTC will feature 40 draft lines, 20 of which devoted to JDub’s beers and the other 20 a variety of high quality craft beers made by other brewers.

JDub’s founder Jeremy Joerger, “This is something I’ve wanted to do for years. My brewery is slightly off the beaten path and this new location will allow us to show off our brand in a more populated location.”

About JDub’s Brewing
JDub’s Brewing began with a Soldier stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington, along with one of his buddies and armed with Charlie Papazian’s “The Joy of Home Brewing”, brewed his first (horrible) batch of homebrew. Jeremy “JDub” fell in love with brewing immediately. Fast forward to 2016, and JDub’s is a rapidly growing Florida craft brewery, growing daily in the areas of sales, distribution, number of employees and scope. After nearly “maxing” our production at our facility in Sarasota in 2015, we have begun brewing at “The Brew Hub” in Lakeland, FL, where we make our flagship brands. Our beloved former head brewer, Tommy, is no longer with us (although we still brew Tommy’s “Damn Good Wee Heavy” in his honor). Head Brewer Matt Tucker is now running the brewery side of operations. Despite our bustling growth, we stay committed our our core values of Quality, Innovation and Culture. We hope you enjoy looking around the website and we hope to see you at the brewery soon. Cheers!

About these beers:

Motorworks Brewing Bottle Art

Datil Pepper Chocolate Imperial Porter:
This unique brew has huge chocolate notes on the nose, with a subtle fruity sweet heat present from fresh Datil Peppers used in the brew. It features a dark brownish black color. Cacao powder gives this brew full bittersweet chocolate flavor, with a mouth coating medium-full body. Intense heat from the Datil Peppers builds with each sip. Fiery and not for the faint of heart. (2016 U.S. Open Beer Championships Gold Medalist)

Morita Tequila Imperial Amber Ale:
Auburn in color, with a full body, aromas of dried chili peppers and fruity dried cherry esters, with a mild malty sweetness. The Morita Pepper imparts a noticeable, yet not overpowering spiciness and smokiness to the brew. The tequila soaked Mesquite wood chips add a subtle sweetness in the finish.

The picture to the left is a preview of the bottle artwork, shared by the brewery.  For full label art and/or more details, please click the links on this page.

Darwin Brewing teams up with Rivertowne Brewing to create Aji Limo Rojo

Darwin Brewing Company of Bradenton has teamed up with Rivertowne Brewing of Pittsburgh, PA to create a beer that looks to show off a thing or two about craft beer.

The beer is a red beer brewed with Aji Limo peppers from the Amazon. This collaboration spans the distance between the two breweries and showcases the differences that yeast can make in a beer.

Aji Limo

From Darwin Brewing Company:

Distance between friends doesn’t matter when two passionate breweries come to the pub with serious creativity built on a foundation of solid liquid. Darwin Brewing (Bradenton FL) and Rivertowne Brewing (Pittsburgh PA) companies are proud to offer you the same recipe brewed as both a Lager (L) and an Ale (A). Aji Limo Rojo (R or L on the label) is an incredibly complex Red (Rojo) brewed with Aji Limo peppers from the Amazon. The malt journey enjoys the combination of 8 different varieties of malt that glide into the sweet heat these peppers magically impart. 1060 miles, different breweries, and different water supplies didn’t stop the brewers from either brewery from nailing the specs. These essentially identical worts were fermented in the north with and Ale yeast and the south with the Lager. Enjoy each and celebrate the science of brewing and the prosperity of genuine friendship!

The beer will be released in Florida at the Darwin Brewing Company Tasting Room at 7pm on Wednesday, February 24th at 7pm. The Darwin Brewing Company tasting room is located at 803 17th Avenue West in Bradenton.
