The chapter has closed on another Tampa Bay Beer Week, and after attending some classic events and some new events, there are a few common threads that seemed to ring true for all time and some that are changing rapidly.
This past weekend launched Tampa Bay Beer Week 2023 with Sunday’s anchor event: Best Florida Beer’s Brewers Ball 2o23.
Brewers Ball is festival put on by the Best Florida Beer organization who presents awards for the results of their professional beer competition, judged previously.
Every year, the Best Florida Beer Championship hosts a competition amongst Florida breweries to put Florida’s commercial breweries against each other for the title of “Best Florida Beer.” Then the winners are compiled into an event (Brewers’ Ball) where all of those beers are poured together at the same time and another event where all of the leftover beers from the competition are poured (Leftover Night at Southern Brewing).
