Croxbone to release Spirito Santo IPA

Croxbone Brewing Company has been working hard to build their brand and build their brewery in the Tampa Bay Area. This week marks a big milestone on the road to that building, in collaboration with Brewers’ Tasting Room, Croxbone will release their Sprito Santo IPA for the first time.

From Croxbone Brewing Company:

Join us for our Spirito Santo IPA Release Party this Thursday, May 14 at the Brewers’ Tasting Room in St. Petersburg at 7 p.m.

This IPA is hop bursted for added aroma and flavor without being overly bitter. We used generous amounts of Citra, Cascade, Amarillo and Pacific Jade. For an extra twist, we added grapefruit and orange zest to create a juicy citrus bomb. It’s a refreshing, balanced and distinctly “Florida” IPA.

Brewers Tasting Room is located at 11270 4th Street North in Saint Petersburg.

Cigar City, Intuition Ale Works, Brewers’ Tasting Room collaborate

Before the weekend that ended Hunahpu Day, Cigar City owner and CEO Joey Redner and brewer Keegan Malone had an outing to Saint Petersburg’s Brewers’ Tasting Room (BTR) and were joined by Intuition Ale Works’ owner and brewer Ben Davis. What came next was a collaborative effort described by BTR owner Rick Wolfe as “what happens when you put really smart brewers together and let them go.”

Wolfe was impressed with the outcome: an imperial oatmeal rye India black ale with an original gravity of 10.8. It should take 2-3 weeks to ferment out, and then the beer (which has yet to be named) will start gracing the taps of Brewers’ Tasting Room.

The name of the game at Brewers’ Tasting Room is small batches and limited supply, as the small brewery has a one-barrel brewing system. Wolfe said that “it was great to be a part of brewing with these smart guys [being] creative in small batches… when they’re in their zone.”

Brewers’ Tasting Room is located at 11270 North 4th Street in Saint Petersburg.

Point Ybel Brewing collaborates with Brewers’ Tasting Room

One of Southwest Florida’s newest craft breweries recently visited Saint Petersburg, and like all brewers on a mission, these guys wanted to make some beer. Point Ybel Brewing stopped by Brewers’ Tasting Room while in Saint Petersburg to make their “No-See-Um” Extra Pale Ale.

From Point Ybel’s Facebook page:

NoSeeUms (and Point Ybel) have invaded St. Pete! Walt and assistant brewer Jordan are collaborating with @brewerstastingroom in St. Pete today, brewing up a batch of NoSeeUm Extra Pale Ale with Falconer’s Flight 7 Cs and Galaxy hops. On tap exclusively at Brewers Tasting Room soon! Big things are brewing at Point Ybel this month!

Rumor has it that Point Ybel also has other collaboration beers in the works.

Brewers’ Tasting Room to release Starfruit Saison

Many hands have touched the recipe of the most recent collaboration beer coming to Brewers’ Tasting Room. The next beer to be released from this community brewery will be a Starfruit Saison that is a collaboration between J. Wakefield Brewing, Brewers’ Tasting Room, Justin Grant, and New Belgium Brewery.

From Brewers’ Tasting Room:

A lot of contributors to this collaboration but we promise it only makes for a better beer. This saison is packed to the brim with star fruit and it’s just what we need for this Florida “winter”. Along with the exclusive release we will be tapping NBB Heavenly Feijoa Tripel, NBB/CCB Collab with Anaheim & Marash chilies, and JWB The Nothing Imperial Russian Stout aged in rum barrels. These beers will be on our self service tap wall so if you’ve been wanting to check it out, this is the time.

Brewers’ Tasting Room is located at 11270 4th Street North in Saint Petersburg. The event beers go on tap on Saturday, December 14th at 7pm.
