Florida Beer Company, one of the oldest craft beer brands in the state of Florida, has seen its fair share of rumors. Recently, rumors have surfaced on an online forum from sources close to the brewery that the brewery has been acquired by Caribe Brewery. Normally Florida Beer News does not report rumors, but many sources have stepped forward and this one seems almost definite. Caribe Brewery has three locations and is the manufacturer of Caribe Lager, Caribe Light, and many other brands.

Florida Beer News has reached out to both breweries in an attempt to confirm the rumor and expand on any details. More on this story as it becomes available.

Florida Beer Company introduces new pumpkin ale

Press Release:

The Florida Beer Company (FBC) has announced a new seasonal beer hitting the markets this September. Gourd Shorts (ABV: 6.2%, IBU: 28) is the first seasonal pumpkin ale brewed by FBC. This full-bodied beer has a mild pumpkin flavor with subtle spice aromas rounded out by a variety of three English malts. A touch of vanilla makes this brew as balanced as a 1960’s longboard.

Gourd Shorts will also be served in the new Florida Beer Company Taproom. (A release party is being planned for August. More details to come soon.)
