Engine 15 Brewing is turning six and Chupacabra returns

Engine 15 Brewing of Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach is celebrating six years of craft beers at the end of June. The brewery intends to have a party of special magnificence to celebrate.

From Engine 15 Brewing:

We love celebrating our anniversary with all of you and releasing this year’s Imperial Chupacabra. We will have two nights to celebrate both of these glorious occasions.

Starting at 6:30pm, we will host an annual Vertical Tasting of 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016 Imperial Chupacabra. 35 lucky people will hear all about these beers, taste each one and get a commemorative glass to keep. There will be appetizers, a reception E15 beer of their choice plus time with the brewers to complete a great evening. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased starting Wednesday, June 8th by emailing david@engine15.com (no calls or walk-ups).

Saturday, July 2nd – CHUPACABRA BOTTLE RELEASE
Starting at 11am, we will release bottles of the 2016 Imperial Chupacabra. The first 50 people will be able to purchase up to 4 bottles and get a commemorative glass – if you are one of the first 25 people you can also purchase one bottle of the limited 2015 vintage. The next 50 people can purchase up to 2 bottles. Get your spot early – we were sold out by 1pm last year!

We will also have 35 Engine 15 beers on tap that day and with timed tappings of 15 special guest beers.

In the same newsletter, Engine 15 gives a small update on the progress of their downtown location:

The Downtown location re-zoning is moving along. This Thursday, June 9th our application goes before the Planning Commission. The Planning commission will review the application and determine if the proposed use is consistent with the city’s 2030 Comprehensive plan. We believe it is and hopefully the Commission will agree and recommend for approval.

Later this month on June 21st our application is scheduled to be reviewed by Land Use and Zoning. Once both of these are reviewed and depending on their particular recommendations and comments, we will have more information on the progress. So wish us well and we will update everyone with more information later in the month.
