Engine 15 construction update
Back in November, Engine 15 Brewing Company of Jacksonville Beach told the world of their plans to build a new production brewery. In this month’s brewery newsletter, the team tells how the pieces are falling in place for the new facility.
From the Engine 15 newsletter:
La Villa Location Update
Things are moving along on Myrtle Ave! Man, junk can really pile up on a property over almost 100 years!
To date we have removed over five 20 yard construction dumpsters of trash and refuse from the property. Everything from rotted wood decks to what seems like miles and miles of obsolete and unused conduit, pipe, non-working sprinkler system components, failed concrete, and just general junk!
While there is much work left to do, we are finally in the “making things look better not worse” mode! One of the buildings has over 700 individual windows, many of the glass panes were cracked or broken and had to be replaced! Whoo! What a job! The many roof leaks have been fixed, which is nice to know on a day like this!
We are hurrying to get the plumbing and sprinkler contractors done this week so we can start on the floor coating because the new brewhouse arrives in TWO WEEKS! Yikes! Ok enough talk, back to work!
