Darwin’s Brewing announces new brewery

The Darwin Brewing Company has made award-winning beers in Sarasota’s Darwin’s on 4th brewpub. Today, Darwin’s Brewing Company announced some big news for Sarasota-Bradenton:

A seed becomes a tree; a dream becomes a brewery!

Darwin Brewing Company is happy to announce that Chef Darwin Santa Maria and partner Bill Cornelius closed on the former Bradenton Press building at 803 17th Ave. W. in Bradenton as the new home of Darwin Brewing Company!

Darwin’s on 4th recently welcomed head brewer Jorge Rosabal to take over the brewing operations, and presumably to head operations at the new production brewery in Bradenton. Darwin’s brewery will join the likes of JDub’s Brewing, Motorworks Brewing, and Big Top Brewing in working to open a production brewery in the Sarasota-Bradenton area.

About the Festival:

The Great American Beer Festival is the premier U.S. beer festival and competition. Each year, GABF represents the largest collection of U.S. beer ever served, in the format of a public tasting event plus a private competition. GABF brings together the brewers and beers that make the U.S. the world’s greatest brewing nation. This event showcases the diverse beers that make craft brewing one of the fastest-growing segments of the beer, wine and spirits industry. GABF was founded in 1982, and has been growing and evolving along with the American craft brewing industry ever since.
