Due South Land, Sea, and Air
Land, Sea, & Air is an amber ale brewed to 4.5% alcohol by volume, with a light and crisp flavor profile highlighted by the restrained use of specialty malts to keep the beer a refreshing choice during warm Florida autumn days and nights.
For the brew, the brewery invited veterans from their local beer distributor to assist in creating this special beer.
“To be able to collaborate on a great tasting beer and give back to our fellow Veterans is a big deal,” Halker continued. “We’re very excited to continue this relationship and continuing to help all of our friends that wore the uniform.”
A portion of the proceeds from every keg and can sold will benefit the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund.
Land, Sea, & Air is available now at the brewery taproom both on draft and in 12 ounce can six-packs. In addition, it is available now through Brown Distributing for bars, restaurants, and beer stores across South Florida.

Due South Brewing is transitioning to 16oz cans

Due South Brewing Company Introduces and Transitions to 16 Ounce Cans

Due South Brewing Company is announcing that beginning in March, all packaged beer from the Boynton Beach brewery will be produced in 16 ounce cans. The move comes after months of successfully canning smaller runs of limited release beers in 16 ounce cans. This transition will include all year-round brands that were previously sold in 12 ounce packaging: Caramel Cream Ale, Category 3 IPA, Category 5 IPA, and Citrafied® Pale Ale.

The new packaging format coincides with a brand refresh featuring more prominent colors, silhouetted graphics, and brighter and cleaner white backgrounds. “These refreshed cans have been brought up visually to the same level as the awesome beers we make every day,” said Doug Fairall, Due South’s Brand Marketing Manager.

The veteran-owned and operated brewery has been canning beer in 12 ounce packaging for years – producing over 2 million cans since 2014. Now, after improvements across the brewery, the opening of a new on-site air conditioned taproom, and the introduction of the easy-drinking Coastline™ Lager, the brewery felt prepared to create a branding refresh on their package.

“We’ve been working hard to get these prepared for our growing Florida market, and have been met with incredible support and optimism by our customers, as well as our distribution and retail partners,” said Fairall. “We are excited to be able to offer the experience of a full pint of our beer from a can.”

“Our fans will continue to be able to bring canned beers to the places their adventures take them across Florida.”

Consumers will be able to expect 16 ounce four packs to begin taking the place of previous 12 ounce can package as they get depleted at local stores.

The move also coincides with the establishment of new distribution partners across western Florida. Due South is excited to be partnering with Pepin Distributing, Great Bay Distributors, Gold Coast Eagle, Coastal Beverages, Peace River Distributing, and Suncoast Beverage.

Press Release: Due South Brewing Company will be holding its annual Trench Day festival Saturday, January 21st from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. in the Due South Brewing taproom. Due South Brewing Mariana Trench

Only 300 total tickets will be sold, a number which we’ve kept low year after year to maintain the ambiance of the event. This is not your typical beer festival full of crowded booths and long lines.

For $50, tickets include admission to the event, a commemorative tasting glass, one (1) bottle of 2017 Mariana Trench Imperial Stout, and unlimited beer samples, including many rare releases, from Due South and other Florida breweries. In addition to the bottle that accompanies admission, festival-goers will be able to purchase vintage and cellared 2016 Mariana Trench, 2016 Barrel Aged Mariana Trench, and 2017 Mariana Trench, all with no limit and while quantities last.

The beer itself boasts an impressive and well rounded character, full of roasted grains such as Chocolate Malts and Roasted Barley, which combine with the addition of Flaked Oats, Cocoa Nibs, and Madagascar Vanilla Beans to create a dark stout worthy of its namesake: the Marianas Trench, site of the deepest known part of the world’s oceans.

Some of the breweries coming to the festival and some of the beers that will be pouring include:

– Due South Brewing’s Mariana Trench
– Due South Brewing’s 2016 Mariana Trench

Due South Brewing releases Citrafied – a Citra pale ale

Press Release: Due South Brewing Company has released a new core brand – Citrafied – that will be available year-round at the Due South tap room and throughout their distribution network. It will be available on draft and in 12 ounce cans beginning late November in bars, restaurants, and retail locations across South Florida and in December throughout most of the state of Florida.

Citrafied was crafted out of an almost year-long process of experimentation and iterations, honing in on the perfect combination of hops and malts. It began with a series of consumer-driven blind tasting events, where owner and head brewer Mike Halker guided customers through a collection of hop varietal focused pale ales. After each panel, the preference was clear, and the brewing team went to work creating a pale ale that would focus on Citra hops.

Due South Brewing Citrafied

“We tried a lot of different hops,” Halker says. “There was a clear winner… we decided to make the clear winner available to everyone.”

The beer pours with a golden vibrancy and produces an incredible aroma of tangerine and orange peel. A clean and crisp flavor profile and finish help to accentuate the refreshing nature of the beer, which makes it both approachable and incredibly satisfying.

“The idea was to focus on the flavor profile,” he continues, “to create a beer that is hoppy but not overly bitter. We structured this pale ale around a balanced profile with a moderate alcohol content in order to craft something that would be great for all of the outdoor activities that South Florida has to offer. For me, I consider it the perfect beach and pool beer.”

The response thus far in the tasting room preview has been incredibly positive, with many customers anticipating the full roll out of canned package and its availability in the retail market.

The pale ale, which comes in at 5.1% alcohol by volume, will round out the year-round portfolio of Due South Brewing Company, joining Category 3 IPA, Category 5 IPA, and Caramel Cream Ale.
