Due South Brewing announces Mariana Trench release

Due South Brewing Co. has announced January 31st, 2015 will be the release date for their award-winning Mariana Trench Imperial Stout. An event will be held at the brewery, located at 2900 High Ridge Rd. in Boynton Beach, FL. Tickets for the event will be limited to 300 people and will go on sale January 2nd. Special beers will be available from breweries all around the state for this festival-style atmosphere. Tickets will include a tasting glass and unlimited samples. Food trucks will be available.

“After Mariana Trench won the gold medal in the Imperial Stout category at the Best Beer in Florida Championships this year, we knew we had something special.” says Mike Halker, founder and head brewer of Due South. “After being asked all year about the return of the Trench, we’re finally going to have it available.”

Only 1,000 bottles of Mariana Trench will be released this year with the remainder going into Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels to be released later in the year. Attendees of the event will have the first opportunity to purchase the bottles and if any remain they will be available at the tap room on Sunday, February 1st.

Due South Brewing to host a craft fair

Due South Brewing Co. is excited to be hosting its first Brewery Craft Fair on Sunday 12/7/14.

Local artists will be here with a variety of fun gift ideas for the holidays. Expect to find pottery, jewelry,paintings, stained glass, photography, and desserts.

Plus brewers decided to get a little crafty so we will tap a couple of special beers: Caramel Latte and Coconut Bay Breeze.

The Craft Fair, 1-4:30pm, will be in addition to our regular Sunday activities. We will have free brewery tours at 1 and 3pm (anyone can just join in) and a $10 VIP tour & tasting (reservations suggested) at 2pm.

Tacos Veracruz will be the food truck 1 to 6pm.

Due South to celebrate Black Friday in style

Due South Brewing Co. will host its Third Annual Black Friday Celebration on November 28, 2014.

In addition to the many beers already on tap, the brewery will feature limited release dark beers tapped throughout the day. Many of these beers will only be available at the brewery and some are so limited that only one keg was made. Brewery visitors will be able to taste specialties like Mocha Stout, Peppermint Paddy, Bourbon Barrel Aged 2013 Pico Duarte (the brewery’s award winning imperial stout, aged in bourbon barrels), One Eyed Tiki (a porter made with coconut), and Mexican Standoff (an imperial porter with chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, and habanero peppers).

Big savings will be offered at certain times throughout the day, like brewery t-shirts for $10 and buy a pint and keep the glass.

Bombshell BBQ food truck will be onsite starting at noon and Poor Boys Kitchen food truck will be available for the evening. Patrons are always welcome to bring their own food or order delivery to the brewery.

There is no admission fee to attend. Food & drinks must be purchased. Everyone is welcome noon to 6pm. After 6pm, you must be 21 or older to be in the brewery. No pets allowed.

Florida is making quite a showing this year! The Southernmost State will have many representatives making a trek westward to show off the finer aspects of Florida beer.

Due South to release pumpkin ale in cans for 2014

Due South Brewing Co. will release Isle of MaGourdo Pumpkin Ale on August 28, 2014. This is the third year this beer has been released on draft but this is the first year it is available in cans.

Isle of MaGourdo is a spiced pumpkin ale, amber in color, with an ABV of 5.5%.

This beer will available in the brewery tasting room and for limited distribution in Florida through Brown Distributing.

Due South creates curiosity in a can

Due South Brewing has been ramping up production, expanding, and pushing themselves to slake the South Florida summer heat. Well, now the fine Due Southern ladies and gentlemen have added another ale to their expanding lineup of canned wonders. This time around, Sue South is releasing Maple Orange Imperial Caramel Cream Ale.

New Beer Release Today – For our first release in the Curiosity Series, we started with our Imperial Caramel Cream Ale and incorporated the flavors and aromas of Florida oranges and maple syrup for a unique flavor profile we’ve never tasted anywhere before.
