Florida Beer Company releases Sunshine State Pils

Press Release:

Florida Beer Company annouces the release of another lager in their line. According to FBC Brand Ambassador Tom Barris, “Since we are predominately a craft lager brewery we are brewing towards our strengths and have made an exceptional German-Style Pilsner.”

Description:

Florida Beer Company’s Sunshine State Pils is being brewed in the style of a Northern German Pils. These beers tend to have a higher more aggressive bitterness, slight mineral characteristic and very light body that can be described as clean, crisp and leaving a pleasant hop bitterness lingering on the palate.

Between the use of German noble hops and our extra pale pils malt one can expected a light, approachable craft pilsner that is perfect for the Florida spring and summer seasons.

ABV: 5.0%
IBU: 42-45

This beer a great compliment to FBC’s lager line. With this we will have three craft lagers available. (Florida Lager American Amber lager, Sunshine State Pils German-style Pilsner, and Conchtoberfest German-Style Marzen.) Available in bottle and on draft from April-June.

Florida Beer Company to release Florida Sweet Stout during Tampa Bay Beer Week

Florida Beer Company has a new facility, a state-of-the-art brewing system, and some new beers being released. According to Florida Beer Company Brand Ambassador Tom Barris, Florida Sweet Stout is “one of two new beers coming out in early 2014 from FBC.”

What is Florida Sweet Stout?

Florida Sweet Stout is a 4.3%, easy-drinking sweet stout.

Our Florida Sweet Stout is a full bodied stout which incorporates lactose and sugar additions throughout the process in order to achieve a smooth light residual sweetness on the palate. The addition of chocolate malt produces a strong chocolate, darken fruit aspect during tasting and also lends to the near pitch black color. There is a light hop addition to round out the brew. This beer is fermented with lager yeast producing a non-existent ester profile which can be found in other stouts. This beer will finish dry and clean which make it extremely drinkable.

This, full body/low alcohol sweet stout, is a beer that shows the new direction that FBC is going. We are making an array of styles that are unique, not made here locally and at such a high production quality, due to our state of the art brewhouse.

Florida Sweet Stout will first be released during Tampa Bay Beer Week at Kuba Cigars on Davis Island on March 1st at 8pm.

Florida Beer Company releases Conchtoberfest

Melbourne- Florida Beer Company of Melbourne will be releasing their current seasonal, Conchtoberfest, a German-style Marzen.

According to the Florida Beer Company blog:

We are über excited about this year’s release, back in the cobalt blue, and we have updated the label artwork to make it even more amazing! In our attempt to be more green and environmentally conscious at FBC, we decided to reuse the former six packs rather than waste them and order new ones. This will give you, the consumer, a chance to have a juxtaposition of the new and old labels, in addition to keeping more trash out of our landfills!

This malt-forward, Oktoberfest style beer should be available around Florida at bars and retail accounts soon.
