About J. Wakefield Brewing
J. Wakefield Brewing has been an award-winning craft brewery since opening in Miami’s eclectic, art-driven Wynwood District in January 2015. What began as a hobby for Owner/Brewmaster Johnathan Wakefield in 2005, grew into a lifestyle, and Johnathan quickly became a principal in the craft beer community, winning multiple homebrewing competition awards and achieving other notable accolades, including a ratebeer.com Top 10 beers of the World ranking for his Dragon-Passion Fruit Berliner Weisse. After almost a decade of homebrewing and a stint at Cigar City Brewing, Johnathan crowd-funded a campaign to raise money to open J. Wakefield Brewing with the vision to make quality beers that don’t always fit the norm.
