JDub’s Brewing is coming to Florida’s east coast

Press Relase:

Sarasota-based JDub’s Brewing has announced plans to distribute their brews to Brevard, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole, and Volusia counties beginning in mid-September. JDub’s has partnered with Lakeland-based Cavalier Distributing as their distributor for these six counties.

“We are extremely excited to be teaming up with Cavalier for the Orlando/ Daytona Beach markets. This is a perfect fit. Cavalier is relatively new in Florida, but certainly not new to craft. We’re confident that Cavalier Founder/CEO George Fisher and his team will be just as successful in Florida as they are in Indiana and Ohio, focusing solely on craft brands,” said JDub’s Founder/CEO Jeremy Joerger.

Cavalier will distribute draft only versions of JDub’s year-round beers Up Top! IPA, an American IPA with an ABV 6.75%, and Poolside Ale, a Kolsch with an ABV of 4.5%. JDub’s is the first Florida brewery included in Cavalier’s portfolio.

JDub’s Brewing to join Bern’s Legacy Series

Press Release:

This week JDub’s CEO/ Founder Jeremy Joerger and Brewmaster Tom Harris traveled up
to Bern’s steakhouse in Tampa. JDub’s is partnering with the iconic steakhouse to
create an extremely limited beer, sold exclusively in 750ml bottles at Bern’s. The beer
will be aged in a George Dickel whiskey barrel, hand-selected at the distillery by Bern’s manager Nate Wilson.

JDub’s is only the second brewery Bern’s has partnered with during it’s storied history.

The beer will be part of the Bern’s “Legacy” series. Legacy 1 and Legacy 2 were brewed by Tampa’s Cigar City Brewing. JDub’s plan for Legacy 3, is to brew a strong porter with smoked cherry wood, then age the beer in the George Dickel Whiskey barrel.

This beer is likely 2-3 months from it’s release. Stay tuned for details.

JDub’s Brewing partners with Siesta Key Rum

JDub’s Brewing of Sarasota is on a roll. Recently, JDub’s announced the addition of Up Top! IPA cans and now they have partnered with Siesta Key Rum to produce rums and beers with each other’s liquids.

In the words of JDub’s owner Jeremy Joerger, “this is another way for us to showcase our wonderful city, not just for its beaches, but also the local, high quality rums and beers that we produce here.”

While Joerger is short on specifics of which beer will be going in which rum barrels (Siesta Key has three brands of rum), he went as far to say “the first beer produced will be aged in American Oak barrels that were filled with Siesta Key Rum’s award winning, spiced rum.”

JDub’s Brewing of Sarasota featured on HGTV’s “New House, New Life”

Jeremy Joerger, owner of JDub’s Brewing Company, made a complete life change in order to open his own production brewery in Sarasota, but unlike many other folks who make this same change, Jeremy’s move was chronicled in a 30-minute television show on HGTV.

HGTV ran the Jdub’s Brewing episode of New House, New Life on Sunday night and it showcased the (albeit abridged) good and bad of building JDub’s Brewing in Sarasota- and thank goodness JDub stayed away from the water treatment plant. the episode combined with the usual moving and house hunting with the more intimate side of finding two new places to build a home and a brewery – both spaces found in a 30 minute time slot, bookended by the opening party at the brewery.

In the end, JDub’s opened at 1215 Mango Road in Sarasota and has not looked back since.
