3 Daughters Brewing has two new barrel-aged releases

3 Daughters Brewing is continuing to grow their barrel-aged beer releases as the brewery continues to grow.  This time, the brewery is posting two different beers released in large-format bottles.  Speaking of the new releases, 3 Daughter is also proud of their 18 taps in the tasting room, complete with 2 additional nitro taps.

From the 3 Daughters Brewing newsletter:

About 3 Daughters Brewing
At 3 Daughters Brewing, our goal is to create great tasting craft beers. We hope you’ll come to by the tasting room in St Petersburg to try one of our over 60 recipes on tap. Not near St Pete? Look for our brands in restaurants and bars in Florida, Georgia and the Bahamas.

The concept of 3 Daughters Brewing started with Mike and Head Brewer (then Head Chef) Ty Weaver in a local restaurant in St Petersburg, Florida. They were working on a recipe for a beer battered fish and decided to make it with their own hand crafted brews. No surprise, it sold a lot of fish and fueled their passion for brewing craft beer.

As the popularity of the beers grew, Mike and Ty decided to invest in a brewhouse to increase their brewing capacity for the restaurant. When they picked out a 30-barrel system, it was time to move on from the restaurant industry and start a journey in craft beer. As the brewery was being built, the common joke was, “how many beers do we have to sell to put 3 Daughters through college?” And so the shortening of the name to 3 Daughters Brewing…

Cask & Larder sends Orlando limited liquid love

Cask and Larder pours new beers from brewmaster Ron Raike all of the time, but today is different. Today will see the tapping of three of Ron’s beers simultaneously and a special price for all of them.

From Cask and Larder:

With such sparse quantities of brew master Ron Raike’s THREE new summer beers available, one could logically reason you’d have to be (Liquid) stupid not be at Cask & Larder’s Limited Edition Beer Release Party on Thursday, July 24 from 4-6 p.m. — especially because the beers will be available for only $3 each.

What is the venerable Winter Park pub releasing?

LIQUID STUPID, 11.5 PERCENT ABV: Be smart and plan ahead if you plan on sampling more than a snifter or two of Ron’s new Liquid Stupid beer. This Belgian strong honey ale is as spicy as it is potent, exuding hints of ginger, orange zest, coriander and Belgian candy sugar while clocking in at a hefty 11.5 percent ABV.

5 POINTS CITRA HOPS IPA: Here’s a five-point plan for success: Don’t miss Cask & Larder’s 5 Points Citra Hops IPA release this time around. Back in March, Ron got his hands on the coveted Citra Hops (pictured above, literally) and it lasted about all of five minutes. Orlando Weekly even lauded it as “One of the four Florida craft beers we can’t wait to taste.” Ron was only working with 18-lbs of Citra Hops on this batch. The unique beast of an IPA boasts a 7.4 percent ABV and 65 IBU.

LAZY LARDER MELON: For beer enthusiasts looking for something slightly less potent but still seeking a unique local craft beer, Ron recently unveiled the Lazy Larder Melon, a golden ale with freshly juiced watermelon brewed in for a refreshing summertime treat. It, too, will be available today, but probably not much longer than that.

The limited beer release will take place in a few hours, today July 24th. Cask and Larder is located at 565 West Fairbanks Avenue in Winter Park. The trouble starts at 4pm.
